Everybody knows people with real money don't pay taxes...

Like a heroin addict needs more dope , the US government needs more tax payer money, no matter where they get it. You couldn't give money to a worse lot than those in Washington:
14 trillion in debt, 800 billion failed stimulus , 2 no win no end wars , no way to pay unfunded liabilities , no air marshals, no safe borders ,etc.

Yes the fox is in charge of the chicken coop and the fox says I need your juicy chicken to watch. Are we just stupid enough to give it to them?

On the other hand.

The GOP has never taken care of the middle class. They will block any tax increase for the wealthy. That is their base. The gap between the wealthy and the middle class grew under Republican "leadership", special interest groups were granted every wish and No Bid Cheney took care of all of his buddies. With Karl Rove behind the scenes again using his scare tactics(mosque at ground zero), those that get all of their info from GOP propaganda sources(Rush, Beck, Palin) will send themselves to the slaughter house.
GOP=Greedy Old Politicians.

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

-You cannot give the poor freedom by taxing the "rich".

-Giving a monthly welfare check to the meth freak sitting around eating potato chips and drinking a forty bought at an over priced convenient store comes from the hard working "rich"

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
-The nanny government must take from the "rich" by the threat of a gun or at least jail time before they can give it to the lazy meth head.

-Raising the tax limits on those who make money will demotivate them. When they see they are working hard to pay for the lazy they themselves will stop working and that will be the end of our Nation.

-The Obama idea that "its time to spread the wealth" will not work. Taking my money and dividing it up between those who didn't do anything to deserve it doesn't multiply anything.

I'm not rich but I'd like to get there. I made about 100k last year. I was taxed between 25k and 30k just in federal. That would have bought me a really nice car or contributed to my retirement. Instead the Government thought that money would be better spent by them. It probably was used for research on an obscure butterfly or given to some meth freak or used in a war. The gov. should use some of the money for roads and military to protect our borders but other than that let me keep what I earned.

Will Rogers was actually pretty close.

Republicans hold the idea that the people who earned their money "big money" should be able to keep it. Not have it taken from them. People with those ideas support republicans because they are "supposed" to have the same beliefs.

There are two basic choices for the middle class.

    1. Work hard, invent something, win the lottery, or start and maintain a successful business with the hope to become "rich". Vote republican

    2. Sit around, try to just get by at work, do the minimum that is required of you and hope the government gives you some money it took from the "rich" so you don't have to work as hard. vote democrat

I chose option 1, and if that makes me greedy then I can live with that. At least I'm not old and at least I'm not a politician.

I'd love to hear your response. freakshow7474@yahoo.com

BTW If you sit back and listen to the "propagandist" (Limbaugh, Hannity, Paliin) with a truly open mind, you might find that you have a lot more views that are similar than you think. Although the Repubs are socially conservative (abortion/choice, death penalty, weed), they are the party that supports freedom from tyranny and oppression in the sense that they don't want the government to take all of our money and control our lives by waiving a welfare check in front of our face.

  5. Oh Well. Confusing politics with economics is what makes nations great or they fail. The Demos need money as bad as the Reps. It's where to get it that they differ. Gov does not need your bucks. They know it, maybe you should too. They can print whatever they want.(Stop the hyperinflation shit... every Gov has inflation goals.) Or they can confiscate and sell whatever they want. But the bigger question is, who are "they?" It's POGO. "I have seen the enemy and he is us."

Reps or Demos, get off your lazy obese asses before you choke on the air and make something, even it's only noise. Then we'll at least know your alive and not stinking up the place.

I've got an idea, why don't you go fuck yourself.

  6. “You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

Then maybe it is time to divide the concept of “wealth” itself, it is a socially constructed concept; the categorizations of “wealthy” and “poor”, the items used to define the rich as what they have and what the poor lack (Such as money), and the defining of what these classes do as work vs not-work as indicators as “class” only have meaning because we collectively allow them to. The sooner we realize this and become the constructors instead of the constructed, the better.
